
Molly Mansfield, Planning Technician
Molly Mansfield joined Swift Consulting Services in June 2025, bringing a dedicated focus to the intersection of land use, environmental planning, and community development. She is committed to facilitating resilient, inclusive urban areas while gaining hands-on experience in the land use consulting and permitting process.
Molly is currently completing her Master of Urban Planning at San Jose State University, with an expected graduation in May 2026. Her academic specialization includes a completed Advanced Certificate in Environmental Planning and the ongoing pursuit of an Advanced Certificate in Community Development and Design. For her master's thesis, she is developing a neighborhood-scale site plan for wildfire resilience in the Santa Cruz Mountains, demonstrating her ability to address complex environmental challenges through site evaluation and design.
Prior to joining Swift Consulting Services, Molly's professional background spanned research, land management and property operations. As a Research Assistant at CSU Monterey Bay, she collaborated with the Transportation Agency for Monterey County to assess road diets and quantify pedestrian and cyclist behavior to improve transit infrastructure. Her experience also includes serving as a volunteer with the Bureau of Land Management, where she participated in land maintenance and post-grazing monitoring, as well as working as an assistant to a property manager.
Molly holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Environmental Studies from California State University, Monterey Bay, where she graduated with distinction in the major. She possesses a strong analytic and research abilities and is proficient in community engagement. Drawing on a background that includes both environmental science and administrative coordination, she seeks to contribute to projects that enhance community well-being and resilience.
